The Hurting and the Loving

"There is a deep emotional component to pain. If we're badly hurt, we might also be afraid" (Ackerman 108). 

       For my second topic I chose pain. Pain is everywhere in the world, however, this drawing demonstrates pain coming from a broken heart. Everyone in their lifetime has suffered from a broken heart, whether the significant other cheated or lied. I am a hopeless romantic and I am big believer in love, so with pain and hurting comes healing and finding love again.

"Ultimately, tattoos make unique the surface of one's self, embody one's secret dreams..." (Ackerman 100). 

 As we know tattoos are a way of expressing ourselves, it's something that is unique and can even tell a story, depending on the person. In order to demonstrate tattoos, the best way was to find people that I knew that I have tattoos. I chose my boyfriend, Riley and my friend, Kelly. Both of them have really interesting tattoos and many of the ones that they have tell a story about how a event in their life made them the person they are today.
